A patent pending leveling device for use on the existing turf of athletic fields, including baseball infields and warning tracks as well as golf course tees and fairways. It employs a unique design that eliminates turf damage and produces a smooth flat surface. The turffloat is attached to the three-point hitch of a tractor providing a cost effective way of leveling and smoothing any surface. When the turffloat is used in conjunction with top dressing and aerification, it eliminates low spots (bird baths) and gets rid of the troubling cores on any turf thus making it no longer necessary to harvest the cores. The turffloat mixes the sand and pulverized aerification cores and re-deposits the mixture in low spots with plugs that can regenerate and help stabilize the low spots. Athletic field and golf course divots and isolated low spots now become very manageable. The g2 turffloat has also been proven effective for leveling baseball and softball base paths and warning tracks and infield skinned areas.
